Viya’s Lifeline Recertification Notice To Customers

Viya reminds Lifeline customers that they should be aware of their recertification date to ensure that they retain their current service and to avoid disconnection. Recertification of some customers is due before May 31, 2018. For landline Lifeline customers, please refer to the mailed notice to determine when you should come in to Viya’s Customer Experience Center to recertify. For wireless Lifeline customers, please refer to the SMS text messages sent on your device to determine when you should come into recertify. Wireless customers may also be notified via automated calls or phone calls from Viya personnel.

For recertification, Lifeline customers must visit the Viya Customer Experience Center during the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, in their respective district: Tutu Park in St. Thomas and Estate Diamond in St. Croix.

Lifeline recipients are required to provide a Social Security Card, valid state/government issued identification card, proof of program or household income eligibility documents at the time of their recertification.

The following programs will be accepted for certification:

  • Supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  • Veteran’s Pension or Survivor’s Pension
  • Income-based Eligibility (based on all persons in the household)
