VIYA, in conjunction with the V.I. Public Services Commission (PSC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), provides the Lifeline program that reduces the cost of basic wireline telephone service.

  • 500 FREE minutes of Nationwide calling while on the network.
  • UNLIMITED texting and picture messaging while on the network.
  • 500MB FREE data every month while on the network.
  • INCLUDES voicemail, three-way calling, caller ID, directory assistance (411), and call forwarding.
  • Nationwide coverage or roaming off the network is NOT included.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR LIFELINE:

Effective November 1, 2016, certification of eligibility will be done at the VIYA Business Office. The staff at VIYA will ask you to complete an application with proof of your eligibility.

Lifeline Terms & Conditions

* As part of federal government program, we offer discounted wireless service to qualified low income residents in the US Virgin Islands. For questions or to apply for Lifeline service, call 1-340-777-VIYA (8492) .

You must use your Lifeline service at least once during any 30 day period by completing an outbound call, using data, purchasing minutes or data, answering an incoming call from someone other than Viya, responding to direct contact from Viya confirming that you want to continue receiving Lifeline service, or sending a text message. If your service goes unused for 30 days, you will be given a 15 day cure period to use your device. Failure to use your device during the cure period will result in suspension of services.
